One study from Thailand &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;(Kumnerddee &amp;amp; Kaewtong, 2010)&lt;/i&gt; had 61 patients with &lt;strong&gt;carpal tunnel syndrome&lt;/strong&gt; randomly assigned to either acupuncture or night-splinting groups. The acupuncture group received treatment twice a week for five weeks (10 sessions in total). The night-splint group received neutral wrist splint during the night for five weeks.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"&gt;Although both groups improved equally with respect to function, &lt;strong&gt;pain reports decreased significantly&lt;/strong&gt;
